To schedule a presentation for your school or group, contact Natasha Reynolds at 436-5050 or nreynolds@espnaturalgas.com.

Fourth Grade Student Program

The ESP Natural Gas program for Escambia County fourth grade students covers Florida Science, chapter nine (renewable and non-renewable sources of energy, conservation, reducing, reusing and recycling).

Following the presentation, ESP will sponsor a drawing contest. Students will be asked to draw a picture based on the information provided in the presentation. The drawing should be on a 8 1/2" x 11" white sheet of paper made with coloring pencils, markers or crayons. Judges are looking for creativity and artistic skills. There will be one winner per participating school. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony.

Registration for this program is open through February 2010.

Sixth Grade Student Program

The ESP Natural Gas program for Escambia County sixth grade students covers Florida Science, Chapter 18 Energy (forms of energy, thermal energy and conservation, benchmarks SC.6.E.7.1, SC.6.E.7.5 and SC.6.P.11.1).

Students are also encouraged to enter ESP's essay contest. Students will be asked to write a 500-word essay based on the information provided in the presentation. There will be one winner per participating school. Winners from each school will receive a savings bond and recognition from the Pensacola City Council. The best of the winning essays will receive a bonus prize!
