ESP's Green Power Campaign Wins National Award
March 30, 2010
Pensacola, Fl. - The American Public Gas Association (APGA) honored the Energy Services of Pensacola's (ESP) "Green Power" program that teaches consumers, from grade-school students to seniors, about energy-efficient and climate-friendly natural gas at a Pensacola Beach conference Wednesday, March 31.
ESP representatives were honored for their program at the APGA's Marketing and Sales Trends and Training Conference at the Pensacola Beach Hilton. The APGA is a nonprofit trade organization representing America's publicly owned natural gas local distribution companies. ESP, an APGA member, presented the program at the marketing conference.
Natasha Reynolds, ESP’s green energy specialist, developed the award-winning program. The program educates about climate change, pollution, energy conservation and sustainable living.
"We've been working hard to educate people about clean, efficient natural gas," said Don Suarez, ESP director. "Natasha and the other members of our marketing and sales force have done a really outstanding job. From the feedback we get locally we knew our message is getting out, but it’s nice to get national recognition as well."
The contest was open to any marketing and sales or customer service campaigns conducted by any association member nationwide.
"It's nice to be recognized," Reynolds said. "But the important thing is something like this helps us get out our message that natural gas is the cleaner and greener choice."
ESP, owned by the City of Pensacola, provides natural gas services to both residential and commercial customers in Pensacola and Escambia County.
